Vince Easterwood

He previously held the DCWF World Heavyweight Championship twice and held the DCWF International title for several months. He currently is wrestling at United Honor Wrestling (UHW) and Virtual Wrestling Entertainment (VWE).

Early Journey Through DCWF

Humble Beginnings

Vince first rezzed onto SL October 8, 2008, and immediately started to explore what was available. Very quickly, he found the DCWF and Averlast. Even though he went to both quite frequently at first, he started feeling more comfortable with the atmosphere and friendliness of DCWF. Despite the little knowledge of the business, the shows fascinated him. Under a suggestion from future trainer Katheryn Blackadder and guided by finding the applications early, Vince used his first month exploring the features of SL and what would potentially help him become more active. Shortly after the one-month wait, Vince applied and was accepted into DCWF, and his interest in Averlast quickly faded away.

Unexpected Early Promotion

During training, Kat not only helped Vince get used to how the system worked, but the two grew as friends throughout Vince's career as both a fan and a wrestler. He felt high hopes were placed on him to do good in DCWF. Determined to not let down Kat, GM Eric Stuart, or the owner, Alpin Criss, he trained, practiced, and had his debut December 7, 2008. That evening, Vince was able to go pro if he wanted. What a shock! Pro the night of his debut?! Grateful, Vince accepted it.

Pro Career

Although initially uncertain about how his character would develop, that quickly was discovered, and Vince's character became the resident "Church Boy" of DCWF. There was also hope of Warzone returning, which helped Vince because he could not regularly make Showdowns. For Vince's show debut, at "Return of Warzone" on December 17, he faced off against then DCWF World Heavyweight Champ Waroop Bravin. Unexpectedly, though, he met Tenzan Karu backstage after a good showing. Tenzan was just about to cash in a stolen contract that day and take Waroop's title.

Throughout Warzone, Vince was in a minor rivalry with Waroop after his debut, facing him several more times over the next few months. As he developed his skill in the ring, Vince initially was lined up to participate in the "Chaos for the Contract" at WrestleFest, DCWF's one-year anniversary. A slight incident a week and a half before WrestleFest ultimately removed him from the final list of participants.

As a side note, on Ash Wednesday, Vince did not attend Warzone like he usually does. Instead, he was at mass at the time, and came back shortly after Warzone ended to show everyone the proof with the ashes on his forehead.

An Unforgetable Experience

After finding out BigEvil won the contract at WrestleFest, Vince was in for a ride. Remembering that Tenzan had won the title right after his own debut match, Vince saw something in Tenzan that did not feel right. Right before the following PPV, "Retaliation", Vince started working over Tenzan's soul, seeing a struggle inside and wanting to bring Tenzan into the light of Christ. The talk was intense and nerve-racking, and Vince nearly got chairshots from Tenzan a few times over this. It got to the point Tenzan proposed to Vince a match with him at "April Fools, Hardcore Rule" (AFHR), even putting the DCWF World Heavyweight Title on the line. Even though the title was not part of the plan, Vince accepted unafraid, and Tenzan declared it would be a "Pits of Hell" Inferno match, the only one of its kind to date at DCWF.

So ... down to the Pits of Hell for AFHR. It would have been scary for most, but Vince was not afraid. Although Vince tried to peacefully convert Tenzan throughout the past month up to and including the beginning of the match, Tenzan tried to use force to quiet him. Despite all of Tenzan's efforts, Vince was unwilling to fight, only acting at the last possible moment. This infuriated Tenzan, and ultimately ... Tenzan snapped, realizing the innocence Vince had and how he was acting. In a blink of an eye, Tenzan walked through the flames just outside the ring, giving Vince the win and the title.

However, the show was not over quite yet. Shock was wide-spread amongst the crowd. No one expected it! Then ... out of the blue, BigEvil Mandlekorn showed up, holding the contract he won only two months prior. With nowhere to run and noDQ in effect, Vince was quickly defeated and lost the title only minutes after winning it. To date, Vince is one of the shortest reigning champ at DCWF ... a record 5 minutes.

New Beginnings and New Attitude

Since AFHR, things at DCWF have been rough. Alpin Criss left DCWF in late April, forcing Eric to take ownership and reorganize the group. In the months of reconstruction, Eric announced Vince as a new manager in DCWF. With DCWF now reopened as of September 12 with an immense show, Vince anxiously awaited the day Warzone would restart. Vince had his first match scheduled with DCWF's Warzone Wednesday, September 23, against former HKWF wrestler HeroOfHearts Parkin. In the months after that, it came time for the second anniversary of DCWF, and another big match opportunity came up, as BigEvil was holding the World Heavyweight title again during a major power struggle at the time. Remembering the failed attempt back in April at his rematch clause, Vince decided it was time to try to invoke that. As much as BigEvil again wanted to deny this, Eric came out and enforced the title match. This time, though, BigEvil decided to hide a taser in his pants leg for yet another cheap win over Vince to retain the title, and thus the "Don't Taze Me, Bro" joke came into formation.

At the same time, Vince has been chosen to be one of eight competitors to fight in the esteemed Chaos for the Contract. Although he did not win the contract, being eliminated by none other than the hardcore dragon, MikeFreeman Straaf, it was an exciting experience to be a part of. However, could that have been a premonition to what the future held for Vince?

Only a month into the third year of DCWF, he was chosen as one of the four fighting for the International Title at Retaliation. Laying vacant after Eric stripped Mobeacha of the title earlier, could Vince be the one to pick it up and take his second title reign in the DCWF? After a long fight, while Harley and Katheryn distracted each other outside the ring, Vince pinned Jerico to win the title. Since then, Vince has had several non-title matches come up. However, March 27th, Brendan faced Vince in a non-title match, but under the condition if Brendan won, the two would face off the very next week in "April Fools, Hardcore Rules" on April 3rd, 2010 for the International title. Although Brendan did win and earn his chance, Vince still was able to defend the title.

Since AFHR, another setback was experienced as Eric Stuart decided to step down. The transition was smoother this time, and Kat and the other managers helped rally the fed back to it's current operation, partnering with Sinful Entertainment. DCWF now hosts their shows in the Ophydian Coliseum. Still holding the International title through the transition, Vince also acquired a developed talent for submissions, a trait that he had longed to train with in recent months. Also, since AFHR, Vince has been ... different. Not the same "Jesus Freak" as his music implies. What awaits for "The Church boy" next? And what's happened to him?

In June, Vince saw BigEvil again, and immediately was out for revenge. It looked like Vince had BigE in his grasp, but Numbers came in and hit Vince with a chair to force a DQ win and start the group MHP, later adding Mobeacha to the group. At the "Summer Skool" PPV in July, Vince finally got the revenge on BigE in a triple-threat, including Mythil Woyseck. However, the victory was short lived when Mythil challenged Vince to a singles title match. Vince ended up losing the title to Mythil the week after the PPV. Vince's new attitude really cost him, too. Following the loss, though, Vince's attitude really shaped what would happen next.

Despite the feud between Vince and BigEvil, Vince decided to join the MHP in late July, and one last fight settled the feud once and for all. Now standing by Numbers' side, Vince helped the MHP take over Showdown in early August and, with Mobeacha, attacked his own opponent and BigEvil's opponent backstage before each of their respective matches. Vince even helped MHP attack DCWF President Katheryn Blackadder when she tried to confront them. Since then, Kat decided to handpick a group to take on MHP in September's "World War" PPV. MHP, with the help of returning pro and new member Ari Lane, defeated Team DCWF.

World Heavyweight Championship Tournament and Aftermath

The week after "World War", Kat made a big announcement in the aftermath of Numbers' actions leading up to and the work done by the MHP. Kat stripped Numbers of the World Heavyweight title and, on that very night, started a tournament to see who would become the next champ. Kat also forced Vince into a tournament match that show, adding insult to injury. Vince was up against renowned wrestler Curt Bombastic, and despite a hard fight, Vince still came out with the win, advancing to the next stage in the tournament. After the first round was finished, Vince faced off against his title successor Mythil Woyseck. The fight was very technical in nature, and Vince made Mythil tap to earn his spot in the title match. After watching Ari and Drew fight the Saturday before October's "Apocalypse", Vince jumped in and helped attack Drew for beating Ari. An announcement was also made that if MHP got the World Heavyweight title, it would be returned to Numbers. Will Vince beat Drew at Apocalypse to earn the title for MHP? After a long hard match, Vince went for his "Crucifix Armbar", but Drew was able to counter it and finish Vince off for the pin.

However, after Apocalypse, things became very interesting for Vince. MHP still had a continual influence, and Vince steadily was drawn further down, away from his former self. During the next few months, Vince was mainly into MHP and still after Drew's World title. Vince watched fellow MHP members Ari Lane and BigEvil Mandlekorn earn the Hardcore and International titles, respectively, forcing him to focus on the World Heavyweight title even more. Even with a title opportunity in December, Vince was still unable to earn the title from Drew.

WrestleFest III: Before and After

January: MHP?

The new year started big for Vince. Still in MHP, Vince was very focused on Drew's World Heavyweight title, and his focus drove him further into MHP. However, New Year's Bash saw Mythil Woyseck take the World title away from Drew. So now Vince is after Mythil, which is ironic since Mythil was the one who took the International title away from Vince earlier. Also, the announcement was made before the match that Mythil would be defending the title in the main event of the following PPV and anniversary show, WrestleFest III. Only a week after that, Numbers brought Vince and BigEvil out to make another announcement: Numbers self-proclaimed to be the next #1 contender for the World Heavyweight title. This started a lot of tension between the three, and ultimately the decision was made to determine the contender in a triple-threat match the week after. However, that incident made Vince see Numbers in a new light, and during the week leading up to the #1 contender match, Vince looked back at what had happened during his time at MHP. This stirred up emotions enough that Vince made a very tough but ultimately very personal decision.

So the #1 contender spot is on the line, and what does Vince do? During the announcement for the match, Vince expresses his new view on Numbers, calling him a snake. In a display of frustration with Numbers' impact, Vince decided he had enough of MHP and threw down the shirt. Now out of MHP, Vince also finished the change back to his former self by apologizing to the fans for his prior actions. After a difficult match, since Vince was now against MHP, Vince pulled out an armbar takedown on BigEvil after BigEvil took out Numbers with a chairshot. Earning the chance to take on Mythil, Vince decided to take a week off and retreat away from wrestling, going back to his faith.

WrestleFest III: Mythil vs Vince, World Heavyweight title

So ... the three-year anniversary comes along! WrestleFest III, the biggest event of the year, has come!

Vince is already excited for the title shot in the main event, but more was in store for Vince during the awards show. Vince won the "Gimmick of the Year" award for his dark character during his time in MHP. However, Vince was more excited when he found out he was inducted into DCWF's Hall of Fame. Already excited from the awards, Vince was on a big high for the main event of the show.

Mythil and Vince were very technical, so the match was definitely going to be a fast and furious one. Before they started, Mythil and Vince decided to shake hands. The match itself was very impressive, and the fans were very into it. No one knew who to root for or who would win, since the match was so close the entire time. However, Vince managed to work Mythil's arm near the end, and Mythil eventually tapped out. Through the fans' overwhelming positive reaction, Vince shook Mythil's hand for a good match and appreciated everyone for being at the show to help show support. Vince walked out of the ring, holding the World Heavyweight title on his shoulder.

Aftermath: Chaos and the rebirth of MHP

After WrestleFest III, a lot of changes were being made. Numbers was fired from DCWF, leaving the MHP to only Ari and BigEvil, supposedly died out. However, those two decided to rebuild the MHP, bringing in Kristoff, Louve, and Pietro. Vince had an early encounter with Kristoff, and while he remembered his own time in MHP, it brought back the lies he warned Kristoff about. Also, a match was scheduled at Retaliation between Vince and new MHP member Pietro Shelford. Vince won the match to retain the title, but Pietro had to throw a tantrum. During the celebration, Pietro slipped away to grab his baton, then hit Vince in the back of the head before stealing the belt.

Needless to say, Vince was very displeased with the acts MHP had been doing. Over the month of March, Vince tried several times to get the belt back, but MHP denied him and once beat him, forcing fan Numbers Rossini and wrestler Drewski Hoxley to come in and help save him. Facing BigEvil the week before AFHR proved to be interesting. Most of the roster was around the ring as part of the lumberjack match. While BigEvil got a subtle and cheap win, it was largely overshadowed by the chaos that had ensued right near the end of the match. This irritated Kat enough to come out and completely scrap the listed card for AFHR and decided to announce the new card at the beginning of the PPV.

The card was announced ... the main event: Vince vs Pietro in a "Rage in a Cage" match for the World Heavyweight title. No interference, no running ... but no ring, no ropes, and steel all around. Tough match for both, and Vince was slammed down on his back several times. However, Vince squeaked by with a number of head shots to Pietro, ending with a codebreaker, but could only fall over on him after that move from the brutal match. Fortunately, though, that was enough to get the pin, and Vince retained the title.

Title Run and Final Days

Locked Up

Only two weeks after AFHR, Numbers made the announcement that the following PPV, "Locked Up", would be all number one contendership cage matches, with the champ reffing the matches for their respective titles, and Paula representing Bite Club in the tag match. However, right as Numbers started announcing the main event, BigEvil stepped up and interrupted, demanding a title match at the PPV. Again?! Numbers allowed it, with the stipulation that he (Numbers) would be the special guest ref, giving Sparky the entire day off. The match, though, would be a prison break match. A key hanging on top of a three-tier cage, and the wrestlers had to get the key, escape the cage, and lock the opponent inside.

Great ... not another dealing with him. Two years definitely does not go unnoticed. BigEvil has always been Vince's rival, and no doubt this meant one thing: another attempt to get the title. BigEvil has been the one to always find a cheap ending for Vince. However, with Numbers in the cage as the ref, the odds were a bit more even.

So ... three levels, a key, and a door to get out of. After a bit of using the ropes on the first level, Vince had to chase BigEvil up to the second floor, where it was either the cage or the hole they came up through. Not Vince's specialty, because Vince is a lot more momentum-styled. As Vince started up to the third floor, BigEvil knocked him down, hurting him worse. After they both got to the third level with the key, BigEvil used Vince as a step-up support to grab the key. However, BigEvil's 200+ pound weight was too much, and Vince collapsed under him, fortunately forcing BigEvil to lose his own balance and fall over.

Now it's a struggle down to the door and get out, while keeping the opponent in. BigEvil hesitated a little with the drop to the second floor, so Vince had the opportunity to leap into him and help him down, grabbing the key as he got down himself. However, BigEvil was able to return the favor and chokeslam Vince down to the bottom level, getting the opportunity to grab the key and possibly escape. Vince barely got to him enough to stop him. Then opportunity came. Vince was able to grab BigEvil in his familiar armbar takedown, and though submissions wouldn't count, Vince grabbed the wrist of the hand BigEvil held the key in. After having to pry a strong grip, Vince finally pulled BigEvil's fingers away and grabbed the key, rolling off and slowly getting to the door. Though BigEvil tried, Vince was still able to get out and lock the door before BigEvil could escape, winning the match and retaining the title. Unfortunately for BigEvil, Numbers was also in with a bit of vengeance to deal himself before using his own key to leave BigEvil lying beat inside.

Smash of the Champions

After "Locked Up", there was vast uncertainty who Vince would face next. The next PPV scheduled was "Smash of the Champions", but due to the nature of Vince's match, there was no number one contender set. Week after week ... waiting with anticipation. Everyone else had an opponent, though some changed over the course of the month, but Vince could only watch and scout who his potential opponent could be. Finally, Numbers steps up the week before the PPV and calls Vince up. Knowing what was going on, Vince could only fear for the worst. Several guesses were being made amongst the crowd, but Numbers announced that Vince was defending his title against ... Antonia.

WHAT?! Shocking, but Vince doesn't like to back down. So Antonia would be his opponent at the PPV. Tough match ... because Antonia was easily twice his weight. Vince knew he had to be fast and keep Antonia down, because her strength could easily put him out. Getting caught in several painful power moves had Vince worn out, practically ripe for Antonia to finish him. However, Vince had enough to get under Antonia's finisher and catch her in a sleeper hold. While Antonia was strong, she ended up too exhausted to get out and eventually passed out, allowing Vince to keep his title.

Summer Skool

So ... A few really intense matches lately. Now onto the next PPV, "Summer Skool". A few matches already, and Vince still has one little nitch against the MHP, even though his rivalry with BigEvil finally was capped. Something about them still got to him, but for now, he could only deal with it in the matches provided. Eventually, though, what bothered Vince surfaced as Waroop started expressing bitterness from over two years prior, making it apparent he was out for revenge. Waroop had previously taken over as head of MHP as he beat BigEvil for control. So while Vince previously respected Waroop, his new position in MHP and bitterness irritated Vince.

At "Summer Skool", it was decided in a Brass Knuckles Brawl match. While it was close back and forth, Vince couldn't get up the courage to use the brass, and the hesitation ended up costing him the title as Waroop capitalized and pinned Vince.

Wheel of Misfortune

Without a title, Vince could only focus on one thing: skill. Being a constant technical and submissions specialist, notes had been taken by commentary, and it could be heard on a regular basis that Vince's skill was comparable to that of another well-known submission specialist: Misaki Yumako. In a surprise promo two weeks before the PPV, Vince announced that, after "Wheel of Misfortune", he would be stepping back from the ring. Of course, Vince also requested a submission match against "The Black Widow" Misaki Yumako, letting the wheel decide what the target move would be for the match. The whole arena was mixed with emotions. Vince leaving the ring?! While Misaki accepted a week later, she seemed to show disrespect for the moment.

For the match, the wheel decided that the Figure Four leg lock would be the move to tap out from. Vince and Misaki both went after each other's legs. Misaki used a few underhanded tactics, and Vince kept to a clean wrestling style. In the end, Vince couldn't get Misaki away from the ropes enough to hold onto a figure four, and Misaki not only forced the break, but came back with her own figure four and used the ropes for leverage to make Vince tap. While Misaki got a lot of heat for the cheap tactics, when Vince came around, there was a loud cheer for him as he left the ring for the last time.

General Manager of Warzone

Following the decision to step back as a wrestler, Vince continued to influence the DCWF as the General Manager of Warzone, initially declaring a fighting champion rule, whereby all matches involving an appropriate title holder (singles champion in a singles or multi-person "all for himself or herself" matches or tag team in a tag match) would automatically become a title match, on top of the no-man's land rule outside the ring. While this had early success, a very poor showing from the champions forced Vince to retract that rule. As GM, Vince kept a close eye and enforced rules as he saw fit as well as helped announced several major PPV matches, including making the announcement for AFHR '12 on the anniversary of his big "Pits of Hell" match only three years ago.

Fan-side activity and start at UHW

At the same time, Vince started exploring the different shows amongst the SL wrestling community, going to shows from now VWE, HAWX, and UHW. Around HAWX, he met a great friend in Maxine Darkwatch, and after a very harsh pointed promo towards both of them from Arcana, Vince has been more supportive of Maxine, to the point he even assisted her in a match against Femme Fatale's Tiesa Lexenstar. Arcana would continually taunt both Vince and Maxine, and this drew Vince to become irritated at her and Femme Fatale, a rarity for him. A few months later, in a rematch between Maxine and Tiesa for the Hardcore Championship, Bazza unexpectedly called Vince to serve as the special guest ref, and Maxine further requested no special favors to ensure an unbiased match, which Vince understood and kept to that. However, Vince is still keeping a close eye on Femme Fatale, highly irritated after seeing Arcana repeatedly use supernatural force and dirty tactics to get her way in the fed.

Around UHW, Vince followed the action in this newer fed, seeing a number of familiar faces around. However, after the irritation at HAWX, he started expressing his opinions a little more even around UHW. In a profound twist, Vince started seeing a bad turn by Acheron, knowing him through Maxine initially to be a good person. However, lately ... Vince started seeing Acheron in a very different light and became extremely displeased when Acheron not only started using his voodoo for malicious reasons, but also decided to force the GM of UHW, Alais, out of her office to the arena to demand his rematch for the United Universal Championship. After a controversy between Acheron and Wolfy ending in a triple-threat match with champ Yancy Low, Vince was ready to leave the arena during the end of the title match due to Acheron's abuse of his voodoo power when he heard commentary mention Wolfy coming back and pinning Acheron, grabbing the victory and the title.

However, the week after, when Wolfy was giving his address as champion, Acheron not only interrupted at the end, but sent both Wolfy and Izzy away while also stating having to fight up to become eligible for titles again. Vince was already irritated to the point that when he recognized the voodoo act on Wolfy and Izzy, he left the arena. Little did anyone know he was sneaking around, already having a previous secret meeting with Alais. After Acheron decided to use voodoo again in the match itself to get the win, Vince had already slipped into gear and backstage, ready to not only announce his return to wrestling, but to also confront Acheron about the recent acts he's taken.

Acheron's Reign of Terror ...

Over the next few weeks, Vince would watch Acheron continue his streak of using voodoo as a cheap way to win his matches as he tried to win back even the chance to go after titles again. After the third match of seeing such a cheap victory by Acheron, Vince decided he would challenge Acheron himself, which was gutsy in itself. As much as he tried to stop it, though, Acheron seemingly got a spell off, but initially didn't have any effect. It wasn't until after Vince got Acheron in one of his familiar armbars that it was revealed Maxine was under Acheron's control, hitting Vince in the back of the head and causing him to let go of the hold. This made it easy for Acheron to finish Vince off for the pin. However, after the match, Maxine came around and hit Acheron with a chair, taking him and Vince away.

Here, Maxine and Vince tried one idea that would be familiar to Vince, as much as he knew he'd need Maxine's help with it. They would try an exorcism on Acheron, thinking maybe that would dispel the mean streak he's had. Unfortunately, the following show, Acheron revealed he wasn't under any demons and that the attempt was futile, not to mention he was enraged hearing that he still had one more match before even thinking about a title shot.

With that plan failing, Maxine and Vince thought of one more thing, but Vince had to take a big risk to do it. In revealing the results of a private meeting with Alais, Vince announced he was going to have a rematch against Acheron, but the stakes were high, as he announced it would be a Loser Leaves Town match. Acheron came out, furious that he didn't sign for it and demanded his title shot, but then relented and added on the stipulation it would be a No Holds Barred match as well. After Acheron left, Vince looked to find Maxine and gave her a smile, knowing what she was going to be doing.

So ... a No Holds Barred, Loser Leaves town match. Vince came out to the cheers of the audience, an all too familiar scene from his former days at DCWF. However, Acheron was forced to walk down the ramp, attempting several spells and failing. It was then Maxine revealed that she had magic proofed the arena, taking away the power that both herself and Acheron have. This ensured that it would be more of a wrestling match, and even Vince let out a little bit of a hidden vicious side briefly outside the ring. Near the end, Acheron tried to finish Vince off by powerbombing him through a table, but Vince pushed off Acheron's shoulders with his feet and pulled Acheron's face down through the table, barely managing to get up enough to get around to make the pin, finally getting rid of Acheron from UHW.

Old Acquaintences become New Friends

The whole time Vince dealt with Acheron, he noticed a couple of other wrestlers around heavily supporting him in his efforts ... namely Wolfy and Izzy Kessel. Vince remembered Wolfy from a long time ago, back in SLCW, but never got the chance to face him. In mutual respect, Vince and Wolfy decided to have a match, scheduled between the two matches Vince had with Acheron, booked non-title, considering Wolfy was the United Universal champion. That didn't matter to them. This was more a show of respect and pure wrestling. Even though Vince was pinned after Wolfy's Scavenger, he still had the respect from both Wolfy and Izzy.

The week after Vince took out Acheron, it was revealed that Maxine and Izzy had a plan for Wolfy. It was decided that Wolfy would guest ref his own number 1 contendership match, and Maxine and Izzy were given permission from Alais to choose the two that would face off in the match. Izzy chose Vince, and Maxine chose her husband, Kieran Darkwatch. Another fairly clean match for Vince that went back and forth, not only in technical skill, but also in dodging each other's moves. However, with his speed and technical skill, Vince ended up taking down Kieran for the pin. Already a second match with Wolfy, and this time for the title.

Now the stakes are higher. Obviously, Izzy would cheer for Wolfy. Vince had the support from a few in the audience, especially his wife, Trisha. In a new tradition in his entrance, Vince passed the two necklaces he wears almost all the time lately to Trisha before entering the ring. The match was close. Vince and Wolfy gave it everything they had, and Vince got in a few armbars that he is known for. However, Wolfy again proved to be just a little bit better, not only hitting Vince with the Scavenger again, but also revealing a new finisher, the Mark of the Pack. Vince had no choice but to tap out. After the match, though, Vince and Wolfy congratulated each other on a good match, and in a seemingly surprise gesture, after Vince stopped to take his necklaces from Trisha, even Izzy congratulated Vince on a nice try with a smile. Even with Izzy's more aggressive side ... though Vince gladly smiled back.

The very next week, Vince decided to slip backstage, more to watch and see if there was anything he could do to help Wolfy. Watching Wolfy's match from backstage, he noticed someone else lurking around: Kravyn. Right after Wolfy retained the title, Vince saw Kravyn rush out to the ring and quickly sped off to stop him, figuring whatever Kravyn had in mind wasn't good for either one in the match, and Vince was not willing to let Kravyn take advantage after the match. However, after getting Kravyn out, it was announced that Wolfy, Izzy, Izzy's sister Jayde, and Vince were together as the new "Night Terrors" stable. Vince noticed, though, that Maxine and Kieran had slipped away during the announcement.

Stables form and titles go around

While Wolfy, Izzy, and Vince were reforming their stable and keeping it strong, another stable was founded and developing that had even Vince a little irritated at their tactics. Jasper, Honey Bluntz, and Nick, calling themselves "BBB" for brawn, beauty, and brains (respectively), were bending the rules and manipulating situations left and right, and this hasn't gone unnoticed. While Wolfy had the United Universal Championship shortly before Vince joined him, afterwards, Vince kept his eyes himself to see if anyone would heavily go after the title Wolfy held. Most of the activity initially was towards the lower International Honor Crown Championship, Jasper decided to step up and proclaim his attention to Wolfy after losing the IHCC to James. Knowing this was likely to be a major threat, especially with the backing of both stables around, Vince kept a watch on Jasper.  After some tension, it seemed like Jasper was dead set on facing Wolfy.  However, Jasper suddenly had been called away, leaving a gap in BBB, though it wasn't fully dissolved.  This left Wolfy without any competition from there, though, but wouldn't mean there wasn't any around overall.  Ultimately, it took Mac, even with his heavy injuries against Wolfy's nearly fit condition, to defeat Wolfy with strength over Wolfy's speed and agility.

International Honor Crown Championship

On the other hand, the IHCC title was getting a lot of activity.  After Kieran won it from James due to a clause in their contract for James to win the title, Kieran and Yancy went into a back-and-forth feud over it, giving each other and the title holder's opponents the chance to pick the stipulation of the match.  Kieran was showing really bad tactics lately, though, changing his nickname to "Temptation", and not only thinking he was every woman's dream man, but showing to everyone how dirty he'd become in his matches, pulling cheap shots to get the advantage.  When Vince didn't need to focus as much on the UUC, he turned towards the irritation he was starting to get towards Kieran.  However, "The Hellhound" Kevin Faust decided that he was going to start messing with Vince as well, and proclaimed that, after Kieran tried to get Kevin to attack Vince during a number 1 contender match while Yancy had the title, he would be focused on Vince, and the title contention would make things even sweeter for Kevin if Vince would end up winning it.  The initial title match between Vince and Yancy ended up in a no contest after Kieran attacked both competitors while the lights were out briefly.  The tactics Kieran had been pulling until then was bad enough that even Maxine decided to walk out on him and leave with Vince only the night before.  The very next week, though, in a heated promo that Vince did not want to escalate, Alais came in and put in a triple threat match as the main event between Kieran, Yancy, and Vince.  However, Alais also was gentler on Vince and added that he could talk if that wasn't what he wanted.  So another title match, and, as per Alais' comment, Kieran's rematch clause ... This time, it was between all three of them.  The match went between the three, each getting a little bit of a rest while the other two fought.  When Vince first had the opportunity to finish the match, Kieran incidentally bumped into the ref during Vince's finisher sequence, taking the ref outside the ring.  Vince immediately went to check on the ref, as did his stable mate Izzy Kessel.  During that time, Yancy pulled Kieran outside the ring before Kevin came down and attacked both, tossing Kieran back into the ring before leaving, creating a wide open opportunity for Vince to get the pin and win the title.  However, he didn't realize Kevin's involvement until after the show was over and he was able to review the match tapes.

Virtual Wrestling Entertainment (VWE) - Decision to join (OOC comment)

Josh, I will give you credit for starting this, but I'll elaborate on what really came up as far as my decision to join VWE.

It has been over four years now since I started wrestling.  I've seen a lot of things happen during that time, but the date in particular was too good to pass up.  While you had the show right, Josh, you missed what date it actually was.  April 24th, 2013 ... a very special date for several of the older veterans of the community.  From the early days of wrestling at SLCW to the current times, with a whole community of feds cooperating and supporting each other, this date becomes an even bigger mark.

Personally, I think it's taken the past four years to finally get the community to settle down some and actually become the solid, supportive community that isn't about rifts and division.  The reason for the date - it's a major anniversary within the community.  Exactly four years prior, on April 24th, 2009, is when Alpin and Eric parted ways, unofficially known by those from that time as "The Split".  This marked the start of the community aspect, with Alpin's system going public, allowing for multiple feds to spring up with a solid system to run on, and Eric taking control of DCWF and creating his own version (even though exactly a year later, on April 24th, 2010, that era ended up failing miserably, and DCWF returned to ACPWS under Kat's command).  From there, it's been a major roller-coaster for everyone involved, especially with the whole rift and aggressive tension between DCWF (under Eric Stuart) and XWA (present-day VWE, under Seth Cameron).  That mix was horrid to watch, and each side was blind of the other, mainly due to the owners of each for the most part.  We'd see feds come and go in as much as about three months time.  In my honest opinion, we are finally settled on which feds will last and, at least amongst the main feds that do all communicate with each other, have settled on non-conflicting times, even if it means being back-to-back, in some cases.

The other point that I do want to make is who else was involved in the debut - Jenn Parkin ... Now what most probably don't realize is I've known Jenn practically my entire career, save a month difference in our start dates.  We both knew how those times were, even though we went separate ways and had different perspectives of the matter.  Though we never do forget old friends in the end.  With the rifts starting to mend and the community finally coming together, I'll admit, I wanted to see if it would last.  However, between the changes in scheduling I experienced at DCWF shortly before I left there fully and seeing most of the feds going to non-conflicting times (though I do still hear about some lately, but that's more on those that decide to push it), that was a notable point I could relax on.  So earlier this year, I decided to go to Jenn and join VWE.  With the anniversary falling on a show date, I felt it was only appropriate that also be my surprise debut date, since to me, it was symbolic towards a new beginning as a fully cohesive community and the end of the major rifts between feds.

UHW and VWE - two worlds

UHW International Honor Crown Championship and major friendship changes

Ok, so it's about time this continues to more recent events. Ever since winning the IHCC at UHW, Vince has been keeping a close eye on Kevin for a while. Starting with Kieran, it was made apparent after distracting Maxine that Kevin was up to no good. Though where Kevin went next was beyond belief for Vince. Not only did he end up eventually going after Wolfy, but then ... in a match Vince was ringside for, Kevin got on the apron to try to distract his own wife, Trisha. That caused Vince to snap, allowing Kevin the match he wanted, but the fire was already started. Vince completely went into a more aggressive mode, pulling out all of the stops. While Kevin was able to initially counter his "Bear the Cross", Vince pulled off another finisher he had been working on lately, his "Crucifix Armbar". As much as Kevin wouldn't submit, the pain got to him, and Kevin passed out, costing his chance at getting the IHCC. Even after calling out Intervention, Alais decided to give Kevin another chance, this time at both belts Intervention held ... including Wolfy's UUC. "Beat the Champ, Be the Champ" - a match where the winner of the match earned the title of the "loser" (i.e.: the one pinned or tapped out), which, between Vince and Wolfy, could've made either one of them a dual champion - was scheduled as a stipulation twist to the triple threat match scheduled for the main event. Vince and Wolfy got Kevin out quickly, but Vince knew Kevin would be going after them soon enough. Keeping things light with Wolfy, Vince gave Kevin a reason to come in and go after them. However, Wolfy and Vince played it in tandem, taking Kevin's attempts to win the match away and letting the other rest while wearing Kevin down together. In the end, Vince pulled off a swanton bomb that he had been working on before and got the pin over Kevin, thus denying Kevin of either title and keeping both titles where they were.  A few months later, though, in September, Kevin finally had the edge to beat Vince for the title.

However, after the special match with Kevin and Wolfy, Vince got two very big surprises, one as he watched Kieran and Maxine, the other in his own stable. Kieran was already trying to say he was the only man the ladies wanted to see at the fed, and that stirred a lot of issues around. Maxine seemingly wanted a divorce from Kieran, and those two kept at odds for a while, even though Maxine seemed to keep getting distracted by Kieran. However, in a mixed tag, Kieran lost and was supposed to sign the divorce papers because of it. However, Maxine revealed her true nature as she not only kissed Kieran, but tore up the divorce papers and together turned on their respective tag partners that day. Not only that ... Vince later found the necklace he had given Maxine in his locker, causing him to become upset at the whole situation.

At the same time, Izzy was showing a side Intervention wasn't very appreciative of. In a match against Katie Skitz Ramona, Izzy resorted to weapons and got herself DQ'ed, and Intervention quickly called her out on it the next show. However, Izzy wouldn't give them a straight answer about it and, furthermore, put down the rest of the stable for calling her out in public instead of taking it to private conversation. Izzy and Maxine both ended up getting qualifier matches for the Women's Championship, held by Anarchy Fang. While both qualified, Maxine was at a severe disadvantage going into the triple threat title match, since it was scheduled the very next day after Maxine's match. While it looked like it was going to be a fair triple threat at first, Izzy and Anarchy later teamed up and attacked Maxine 2-on-1, with Izzy surprising Intervention by not only letting Anarchy get the pin to retain her title, but also leaving with Anarchy afterwards. When Wolfy confronted Izzy about it, Izzy said that not only was her marriage with Wolfy not legal, since she never turned in the marriage license, but she was married to Anarchy, and the blood test to prove Izzy and Anarchy were sisters was faked and that the blood found was Izzy's own blood. This put all of Intervention at a set back as Izzy left, with one final note from Anarchy - the two were now Anarchy and Izzy Fateweaver.

VWE beginnings

A new start here ... Vince joining VWE. This was a completely new world, and while Vince's reputation preceded him, it was going to take a little bit for Vince to get into the new surroundings within VWE. One of the first things Vince took note of was Ashe Cuervo's tactics initially as he was retaining his US title leading up to a match with then European champion Benja Nirvana for the merged International title at KOTA. After Benja won that, Vince looked to see if he could guide Ashe to a better way of wrestling, hoping he could get Ashe to change from the dirty tactics he used in his title defense, when he spit black mist into Vince's eyes. It took a lot of discipline for Ashe to see it, including telling Ashe to politely request for the rematch for Benja's title. As much as he tried, though, at BeachBrawl, Ashe still seemed to succumb to his old tactics and only giving Vince credit for his improved focus on submissions. This disappointed Vince, even though Ashe did seem to show good sportsmanship after the match.  Only a week after BeachBrawl, Ashe requested a last chance match, and this time, kept Vince ringside for the match itself.  This time, Vince was able to keep a close eye on Ashe and really improved using skill instead of cheap tactics.  Even though Ashe lost, he seemed to be learning that match.

After that, very little happened to Vince directly, as much as he started showing signs of being friendly with both Maxine and Acheron, until the surprise Versus show.  There, Vince was called to join Benbe and Celt against Team Warf, consisting of DHA, Cody Houley, and Stuart Warf.  After a cheap rush by DHA with Cody distracting the ref, the ref came back to see Stu on Benbe, taken out by DHA already, and counted the pin.  This incited Vince, and after Elimination Royale, which surprised Vince by seeing a long-time rival Maxwell around, he started focusing on DHA.  Already down 2-1 in matches with him so far, he started with challenging him again.  As much as he was reluctant, DHA accepted, but to his own undoing.  Vince was able to pick up the win with his Crucifix Armbar, tying the record and getting DHA's attention.  The week before Six Feet Under, which DHA and Vince were both announced to be a part of the Elimination Dome, DHA attacked Vince and challenged him to a Pure Wrestling Match.  This is a very unusual match, and dates back to TNA's title based on the same name.  The stip reads as follows:

1. Each wrestler has three rope breaks to get out of pins and submissions.  After exhausting these, a pin or submission against the exhausted wrestler under the ropes is considered legal.
2. No closed fists to the face allowed.  First time is a warning, and second (and any subsequent) time is penalized by a rope break.  If the offending wrestler has exhausted his or her rope breaks, the offense becomes an automatic DQ.
3. There is a 20-count for wrestlers on the floor outside the ring.

Vince used the rules very wisely, intentionally doing a pin under the ropes to cost DHA a break, and DHA used the other two in submission breaks.  While DHA tried to get Vince worn down, Vince was too tricky at the end and pulled out of DHA's grasp.  Vince went back to his Crucifix Armbar, and even though DHA's hand was near if not at the ropes, he was out of rope breaks, so he couldn't use that to break the submission, forcing DHA to tap out.

Five Years ... and WrestleSeries V

So ... while Vince is still at UHW, the time has come for the biggest show of the year for VWE: WrestleSeries V.  After Six Feet Under, where DHA ended up getting payback for the match the PrimeTime afterwards and eliminating Vince from the match, Vince was in anticipation to hear if he was going to be involved in the following main FPV of the year.  Nearly a month goes by, and with both of the men's title matches already announced, Vince wasn't sure what to expect.  That is ... until he watched a match between Jackson Doune and Surik.  During that match, it was announced that the two in the ring, along with Ashe Cuervo and Vince Easterwood, would be in a match at WS V for the #1 contender to the International championship.  This got Vince excited, especially coming off of a win the PrimeTime before the announcement.  Furthermore, WS is as close to Vince's own debut anniversary as VWE can get, making it even better.  The question is ... how will Vince fair against not only the biggest man in the fed, but two others that are just as technical as Vince is?  Friday, December 13th, 2013 ... starts at 4pm SLT ...
