It will be held in their arena and will see both the SCPW Women's and the SCPW Men's World Championships defended during the show. This would turn out to be the final Slam City Pro Wrestling show the federation closed at the end of the PPV.
Storylines Going into SCPW Gold
The main storyline going into gold saw Bazza Windlow establishing he was SCPW Men's World Champion and would be defending against No 1 Contender Tyler Crisis whom had earned the shot at SCPW Toyland in the Christmas Rumble battle royal match.
It was announced that the SCPW Women's World Championship would be defended at SCPW Gold seeing SCPW Women's World Champion Kananko Kobayashi who will defend against an mystery opponent at SCPW Gold.
Another storyline saw Sergi Kuznetsov steal the dog tags from an concussed Brian Bennet they will face off at SCPW Gold in an Iron Curtain Match.
Gunter Hyde had challenged anybody to an Chicago Street Fight at SCPW Gold Lucia will be answering the challenge.
It was announced the Trench Bros members Neon Shadow and Josh Poffo will get the chance to get some redemption for an trios match few weeks prior involving the Trench Bros vs Curt Bombastic Nick Odium and surprise partner Samantha Foxy by getting to have an tag team rematch with Nick and Samantha at the event.
Also announced was an Three Way Dance match between "The Ringmaster" Abbie Tood Goldie Fox and Kandy Perez this is the elimination variant of an three way match at the event.
Event Summary
The opening match was an Three Way Dance between "The Ringmaster" Abbie Tood who faced Goldie Fox and Kandy Perez. The match was fast paced with Abbie Tood controlling good periods. Eventually Goldie and Kandy disposed of Abbie for an short time they had an slight back and forth before Goldie got even with Kandy by hitting The Golden Experience to pin and eliminate Kandy from the match. Straight after this Abbie Tood came back in the ring and used an whip as an weapon whipping Goldie Fox in the back before delivering Ringmasters Fold for the second and final pinfall to win the match outright.
The second match was an tag team match putting The Trench Bros members Neon Shadow and Josh Poffo against Nick Sin Odium and Samantha Foxy. The match was not going too bad until an shocking turn of events Nick turned on his partner striking Samantha Foxy and wondering off while his manager valet Vivian got ejected for probably taking an cheep shot at Neon. Despite being an partner down Samantha Foxy would prevail by pinning Josh Poffo to shorthanded win the match. The third match was the Iron Curtain Match this turned out to be an submissions or verbal submission inside of an steel cage match. The match was brutal and very personal after Brian broke an prized flag of Russia during his entrance. The match would eventually end with an technical submission when Brian made Sergi pass out.
The next match was Kanako defending the SCPW Women's World Championship against an unknown opponent. This turned out to be an returning Brooke Owens who of course claims the title to be hers by right. The match was one of the best of the night back and forth both went hitting big move after big move with both kicking out from their respective finishers. The match would finally end when during an sequence Kanako would hit both Scorpio Rising and an knee to the head to pin Brooke and retain her title. Brooke Owens would kneel down on the mat and kiss the ring following the match saying goodbye to slam city.
The next match was the Chicago Street Fight which turned out to be Gunter Hyde vs Luca in the match there were no disqualifications no count outs no pinfalls no submissions only way to win was to bust open your opponent and then incapacitate them so they could not answer the count of 10 being back to their feet if an draw occurred you had to respect each other. The match was brutal and went all over the arena involved generators chair shots and two huge table bumps one saw Luca splash off of an ladder through an table backstage and the other finished the match. Both men were bleeding when Gunter Hyde drove both from an stands area to the floor via two tables stacked with an pedigree both men were then unable to answer the ten count resulting in an draw.
Before the next official match there was an brawl between Chiyoko and Misaki being an unsanctioned match as the two had been suspended and removed from the original show this was not an official match hence why it is not listed here. The two brawled all over the arena but in an cruel fate Chiyoko reversed an powerbomb attempt from the same stands position as the previous match to throw Misaki down onto the concrete bellow the Referee in charge of the matches at the time Train James called for them to put an stop and called for medical assistance for Missaki who was carried out on an stretcher.
The penultimate match was an absolute treat as the cousins Mozza and Horses Morrisey teamed up to face Nanny Gothly and Vendetta in an tag team match this of course being an rarity to see such legends in the ring that the ring announcer Drewski Hoxley who was also partly on commentary fanboyed out massively for it. The match was complete chaos with tag rules by the end of it being ignored with all four ending up in the ring by the end. Horses and Mozza couldnt get on it seamed and eventually both were trapped in submission holds by Nanny and Vendetta and both tapped out together to end the match and promptly blamed each other for losing.
The final Slam City Pro Wrestling match and main event was for the SCPW Men's World Championship which saw "The Last Irish Outlaw" Bazza Windlow defend his SCPW Men's Championship against Tyler Crisis in an no disqualification match. The match was brutal with many nasty holds used by Bazza and many back and forth moments including an pedigree onto the steel steps and an both getting low blowed and almost counted out. The match finally ended when Bazza used the hidden blade to get the pinfall to win the last match and retain the championship.
Following the final match an farewell was held with all who were still present coming to the ring to celebrate and an credits being played as the final moments of Slam City Pro Wrestling this can be viewed on its own here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeYIGuiJE6g&feature=emb_logo listing all those who had been involved with SCPW.
